Wriar technologies develops various administrative tools and applications. Most of these projects end up being open-source or source-available. We strive to create solutions that make device administration and management easier, as well as provide servicability for enterprise hardware and components. As you may notice, many of these applications are written in NodeJS, as is the preferred tool we use to develop cross-platform applications that render delightfully on any device.
Before NodeJS, we originally developed applications and solutions in BASIC. These solutions only supported Windows Forms on .NET Framework, and soon on, we migrated to a more robust project stack. The motivation for developing these apps were to provide a more cost-effective option to many commercially-available software solutions.
As of today, we develop applications that best suit our uses in enterprise hardware. For example, the high costs of various software, such as Cisco CM, made entry into the telephony space rather burdensome. Installation of Cisco CUCM or UCCX is expensive and requires a service contract with Cisco, making the process rather unfeasible. To resolve this issue, we developed Cisco Provisioning Manager, a free server software to provision Cisco devices. Although previous homelab use of Cisco collaboration devices were already documented, we aimed to provide a free and open solution for homelab use with the "simplicity" of CallManager software.
Beyond internal tools, we also partner with other initiatives to provide free software. For example, we make available FIPS203 Post Quantum encryption systems for those who may wish to transmit sensitive information.
